FirstLight Innovations was founded in 2018 by Ayual Makur in St. Paul, Minnesota. After spending a decade as a software engineer and technology strategist at enterprise companies, Ayual saw too many organizations fail to get value from their technology investments — not because the technology was bad, but because the strategy and implementation weren't aligned.
FirstLight was built to fix that. We combine genuine engineering talent with strategic thinking to deliver technology solutions that actually solve the problems they're built for.
Today, we're a team of 45 engineers, designers, and strategists serving clients across healthcare, retail, finance, education, and the nonprofit sector. We're proud to call St. Paul home and proud of the impact we've created across the Midwest.
